Why The Worst Rappers Get The Most Play

Do you ever wonder why the radio and televison stations only seem to play some of the most disguting, repulsive human beings on earth?

hopefully this post will give you some answers

Why the worst rappers get the most play:

1) because it distracts our attention from more important things like taking care of ourselves

many of us (including myself) have been so caught up in music and rap that we have rejected doing some necessary things in life like studying, thinking about goals we want to accomplish, dealing with personal issues, etc.

2) because for some reason white people like listening to black people say and do the vilest things (most of the people who buy hip-hop albums are white)

for some reason throughout our history in this country many white people like seeing black men acting in a savage way

when you look at hollywood then and now you’ll see this same stereotype projected in many movies, video’s etc of the black man as a savage beast unable to control his primitive urges to kill, steal, abuse women etc.

Who are these rappers that get the most play:

50 cent, the game, biggie, tupac, baby, lil wayne, souljah boy

what kind of lifestyle did they live before being a rapper:

most of them have a history of abusing their own, selling drugs to poor inner city people, spent time in prison, many of them have been brutally injured and abused (shot, stabbed), many of them would do anything to get money (including hurting or misleading others to make a profit), many of them grew up without a father or positive male figure to show them what real manhood is, many of them grew up emulating white gangsters (scarface, robert deniro roles and other mob characters), many of them had family and friends viciously murdered or maimed (baby's sister and father were killed horribly), many of them have grown up emulating men that mistreat women like the ones in gangster movies, pornography etc.

Given all of the abuse they’ve suffered why do they continue to spew hate even when they have so much money:

1) those who have been abused abuse others when their abuse hasn’t been properly dealt with in a therapeutic way

2) record companies want rappers to project this hard savage image to their main audience (young white and asian males)

what is the ultimate result of only seeing a whole group of people in one way:

if you only see a group of people in a savage way then you will think that all of them are savages and you won’t mind if they go to jail in large numbers or kill and murder each other because you’ll think that this way of living is their nature and you won’t have sympathy for them

the first step to killing or mis-using someone is to first see them as less than human

you’ll also get a superiority complex, thinking that you are better than them and that you are not as evil as them

what should we do about it:

gain knowledge about this whole process

know intently what the record companies are doing to you and how they are trying to brainwash you and don’t buy into it.

always, always, always ask questions

think for yourself

and if you really want to scare other people know something about your history and their history

stop settling for less in your relationships. you have the power to change your partner for the better. if you have an open mind don't be afraid to click here to learn more.

All Truth. especially

1) those who have been abused abuse others when their abuse hasn’t been properly dealt with in a therapeutic way....

Its sad that abused victims fail to recognized that they aren't alone, that in order to heal they must reach out for help. One cannot heal alone but taking a step to better themselves is the ultimate journey of survival to the fittest...

you made other great points as well. These rappers don't care about anything else but making money. I could go on but i don't pay attention to anyone under the worst "rappers" categories.

@dyne piece... as always you know the right thing to say

with this comment you've actually helped me in seeing something in my personal life that i didn't see before

i see the rappers as victims

i don't think they would even think to what they're doing if they were in their right mind

you have to feel sorry for them

@honey...now i do agree with your assertion that the hood characters creeped up and the industry started seeing how hot they're were so they signed more of them

but i still think that it was a continuation of the racist power structure in america

the people who own the labels most wouldn't want their children and grandchildren saying the kind of things that lil wayne and biggie would say

so why do they think it's ok for somebody who doesn't look like them to say it

@g...thanx bro

keep coming back

here's an interesting question: how can we affect change in hip hop when we are not the population that provides the money that drives record companies to 'give the people what they want'

personally, i feel as though the initial process of educating [black] youth in this country is a direct reflection on what becomes valued.

To this day, I see the educated soul be ostrosized in the educated system... it is not obviously respected, no matter how much it may be secretly...

It’s ironic how “white people” institutionalize race and cast aside blacks, but they strive to be “cool” like them? (Does that makes sense?) And one way to relate to black people is through “their” rap music. I think that for the most part, blacks don’t listen to what is on the radio. We look for underground artists, not Soulja Boy…and yes, please dont get me started on the music industry today...

So true! And they convince "us" that perpetuating the stereotype is okay, especially to get paid.

Btw...that 1st picture's just wrong!

I agree. The majority is comfortable with the image of black men as either a thug, a buffoon or a hyper-sexual mandingo. Popular rap often serves up all three on a platter.

@desy...all corporations have an obligation to their shareholers (the people who invest their hard earned money in the company)

if we really want to make these satanic record companies play by our rules then we have to own a significant share of the company and threaten to disinvest the company if they don't project us in a more positive way

there are so many things we can do to stop these companies from projecting these images (personally i wouldn't mind blowing up the building)but this one of the main ways

and to your question on education

if we were truly educated in the way that we should then many people would have a problem with us because they depend on our ignorance

@free...now that's something that still boggles my mond to this day

i guess some of them are not racist lol (go figure)

i think many of them have respect for the guys because they've survived so many daunting obstacles (getting shot at and stabbed, being in prison and so forth

men tend to admire other men who live fearless lives and who've been though hell and has survived it

@nicole...you are both beautiful and brilliant

when you want to exploit a person or people first you have to convince yourself that they deserve to be treated like animals

then you have to convince your victims that they are animals so that they actually think that they deserve to be abused by their victimizer

the psychology of oppression

@travel d...excellent quote

they have to convince themselves that this is true in order to justify putting so many of us in jail, killing us with policemen and in many other ways

if they actually accepted the fact that we are human just like them then they would feel an overwhelming guilt about how they have treated us

and NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE likes to feel guilty

Blacks have always been viewed as "the other" and that needs to change.

James Tubman said...

@the goddess afrodite... with all due respect my beautiful black goddess it's not our differnces that are the problem

the problem is white people have traditionally (for the most part not all) been crazy

the problem is not in the victim but the problem is always, always, always in the victimizer

for the same reason you don't blame the victim of a rape you don't blame the victim of the harshest enslavement of all time

aint that the truth

James Tubman said...

@kreative mix... i do feel sorry for them as well

they have been abused in so many ways and they wouldn't be embarassing themselves if they a wonderful and productive life

thanx for your comment

@dejanane... i really love your name lol

welcome too i haven't seen you before but i hope to see more of you in the future

if you know a person's history they can't fool you

it's just as simple as that

and if you know your own history nobody can fool you about who you really are and where you are going in life

they just can't do it
